Fresno never led in this one, battling back from deficits of 2-0, 3-2, and 4-3 before falling 5-4 in the 11th. Austin Voth labored through four innings with the first three Salt Lake runs let in on four hits and two walks. Derek Self and Dakota Bacus combined for five shutout innings before giving way to losing pitcher Jordan Mills who prevented neither free runner in the 10th and 11th to score. The Grizzlies put together 10 hits and two walks but also struck out 13 times. Collin Cowgill and Wilmer Difo both had two hits and one RBI.

The Sens pitched another strong game while the offense appeared on a milk carton as they dropped another close game, 2-1. Wil Crowe pitched seven strong innings, but gave up both Thunder runs on five hits, including a home run. He walked none and struck out six. Adrian Sanchez collected three of the seven Harrisburg hits and drove in the lone run. Rhett Wiseman was the only other batter to reach base twice with a single and a walk.

Myrtle Beach scored in three consecutive innings to take 6-1 lead and cruised to 7-2 win to split the four-game series. Kyle Johnston got knocked out early, giving up two runs on three hits, three walks, and a hit batsman in the space of just 12 batters faced. Aaron Fletcher wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam to end the 2nd but was pounded for four runs on six hits over the next two innings. K.J. Harrison and Alex Dunlap combined for four of the team’s six hits and two of the fourteen (14) whiffs.

The Suns won a wild one that saw the game end with just one umpire on the field and the bases loaded with two outs when Chris Vann came on to get the last out for a 2-1 win. Joan Adon pitched into the 6th and gave up the lone Barves run on three hits and two walks while striking out three to pick up his fourth win. OT Turner stranded a runner in the 6th and pitched two scoreless innings. Jared Brasher struck out two to start the 9th, walked a batter, then took out the home plate umpire with a wild pitch. After a 36-minute delay he walked two more before giving way to Vann, who got the flyout for the save, his first. Justin Connell drove in both runs while Cole Dailey singled twice, stole two bases, and scored both runs.
