An 3-1 Grizzles lead after four full went hasta la vista as the Chihuahuas got three in the 5th and one in the 6th and held on for 7-5 win. Henderson Alvarez3 only gave up three HRs and five runs total, which is almost impressive because he surrendered 12 hits in six innings without the benefit of a double play. Jordan Mills and Tanner Rainey both put up a goose egg before Vidal Nuño3 coughed up two in the 9th. The Fresno offense, which struggled in the clutch (2-for-12 RISP), got one back on Collin Cowgill’s second solo HR then went i order. Yadiel Hernandez also went deep (#7) while José “Orange” Marmolejos and Taylor Gushue both went 2-fo-4 in the team’s sixth straight loss.

Harrisburg just keeps chugging as they won their fourth straight, 3-1 over Reading. Sterling Sharp bounced back from last week’s beatdown to spin seven innings of one-run ball on four hits and a walk and win his third game. He struck out six. Jacob Condra-Bogan became the fourth different reliever to earn a save as he locked it down with two scoreless innings with one hit and one whiff. Luis Garcia scored from first on a Luis Sardinas double in the 1st and drew a bases-loaded walk in the 4th while Rhett Wiseman homered for the first time in nearly two weeks to lead the Sens offense. Roster move: LHP Dan Jennings selected by Washington Nationals.

The P-Nats managed to score their last nine runs with just two hits and one error, but the Dash were able to survive a Nuke LaLoosh night (13BB, 10K), 11-10. Andrew Lee made his first start but didn’t make it out of the 5th as he left with one out in the inning with five runs in on seven hits and three walks while fanning two. Luis Reyes did make a relief appearance but—but down your coffee—was the only Potomac pitcher to not allow a run as his goose egg in the 8th was sandwiched in between by three allowed by Carson Teel in the 6th and three let in by Hayden Howard in the 8th. Aldrem Corredor was the sole P-Nats batter to collect multiple hits as he drove in two with a pair of singles while David Masters’s 5th HR, an Earl Weaver Special with two out in the 9th, was the sixth and final hit for Potomac.

Hagerstown took a 4-3 lead in the 7th only to see Asheville tie it in the 8th and win it in the 9th, 5-4. Francys Peguero saw his second straight quality start go for naught as he scattered nine hits over six innings for three runs (two earned) while walking two and fanning two. After a scoreless 7th, Angel Guillen got the blown save with a run in the 8th and the loss in the 9th on a leadoff double followed by a single. Jacob Rhinesmith scored the fourth Suns run on his fourth hit as he was driven in by Omar Meregildo, who also reached base four times on two singles, a double, and a walk. Roster moves: LHP Ryan Williamson activated from XST; RHP Leif Strom reassigned to XST.
