The Bees stung the Grizzlies ‘pen for five runs in the late innings and held off a late charge to send Fresno to its fourth straight loss, 10-9. J.J. Hoover threw BP for five innings, giving up five runs on ten (10) hits, including two HR, and a walk while striking out four. He was nonetheless in position to pick up the Jack Morris win until the 8th, when Jordan Mills put on four baserunners with a single, a Victor Robles, a two-run double, and a walk. Dakota Bacus cleaned up the mess and preserved the 7-7 tie after eight, but was dinged for three unearned runs on two hits and two walks (both intentional). Yadiel Herndandez led the Grizzlies 12-hit parade with two singles and a double while Jake Noll and Andrew Stevenson both drove in two while collecting two hits.
Roster move: RHP James Bourque optioned from Washington; corresponding move to be made when he reports.

Rain delayed this one for 99 minutes but Harrisburg came back swinging with runs in the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings to turn a 3-1 deficit into 5-3 lead and held on for the 5-4 win. Mario Sanchez returned to the Sens rotation but brought back his AAA results, as the Fisher Cats scratched him for the aforementioned three runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. Taylor Guilbeau and Bryan Bonnell both turned in two scoreless innings for the win and hold respectively while Joan Baez was awarded the save for not losing the lead in the 9th. Ian Sagdal led the Harrisburg hit column with three singles while Chuck Taylor doubled, walked, an drove in a run.

Four P-Nats pitchers combined to shut out the Pelicans, 8-0 on five hits and eliminate Myrtle Beach from the first-half playoff race. Nick Raquet put on four baserunners in five innings while fanning five to earn his third win. He was lifted after 72 pitches in favor of Luis Reyes, who extended his scoreless innings streak to 12. Aldrem Corredor racked up eight total bases while scoring three times and driving in three while Nick Banks singled twice, scored twice, and homered to lead the Potomac offense.
Roster move: RHP Jhon Romero placed on 7-day I.L.; LHP Aaron Fletcher promoted from Hagerstown.

Hagerstown – OFF DAY
Hagerstown returns home for four against Rome (hey, that rhymes!) and a tragic number of one in the Sally Lg. North’s divisional race. They’ll then head back out on the road for the usual trek to the Eastern Shore, then the Jersey Shore.
