Three Senators combined to shut out the Thunder, 5-0 on four hits and complete the four-game sweep. Ben Braymer won his third game on seven innings of two-hit ball without issuing a walk and fanning a season-high of nine. Taylor Guilbeau worked around an error and a single with two K’s in the 8th to earn hold #6 while Jacob Condra-Bogan gave up a one-out single and ended it in the 9th with 6-4-3 DP. Hunter Jones walked, doubled, scored a run, and drove in a run while Ian Sagdal walked and doubled and plated three to lead the Harrisburg offense.

Down East blew a 4-0 lead but got a lost-in-the-lights RBI double in the 5th to tie it at 5-5 and single runs in the 7th and 9th both of which were aided by wild pitches to edge Potomac, 7-6. Starter Malvin Peña didn’t make it out of the 4th as the Wood Ducks put 10 on the pond with seven hits and three walks and got in five over three and 2/3rds innings. Bryan Bonnell stranded one while finishing the inning and then threw two scoreless in his Potomac debut. The loss went to Jhon Romero as he issued a walk, which was sacrificed to second, then over to third on a wild pitch to enable the Wood Ducks to score on a grounder to short. Aldrem Corredor doubled and singled three times while KJ Harrison was a triple shy of the cycle with three hits and four RBI to pace the P-Nats attack.

Tim Cate extended his quality start streak to six, but all three runs came in the 6th as he lost a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 Suns loss. Cate gave up eight hits total (four in the 6th) but walked none and fanned only four. It was six up and six down for Aaron Fletcher to finish the game. Hagerstown got the tying run into scoring position with less than two outs in both the 7th and 9th innings but both baserunners got no further as the Suns went 0-for-5 in their last five RISP chances. Gilbert Lara (two singles) and Trey Vickers (single, walk) both reached base twice and had an RBI to lead the Suns’ six-hit, five-walk offense.
