The Grizzlies got above .500 and back into 1st place with a 4-1 win over the River Cats. Scott Copeland went a full seven innings for the first time this season and gave up a run on his obligatory HR (7 in 6GS) and four hits total. He walked three and struck out eight while earning his second win. Taylor Gushue extended his hit streak to 11 games with a single, double, and a homer while Bengie Gonzalez singled and doubled in four trips to the plate to lead the Fresno offense.

Harrisburg was no-hit for the first time in nearly five years as they lost back-to-back games for the first time this season, 7-0. Tyler Mapes took the loss as he was knocked around for seven runs on six hits, including a HR, and five walks. Chuck Taylor broke up the perfect game with a one-out walk in the 4th while Rhett Wiseman drew a walk with one down in the 5th for the two Senators to reach base. Potomac got its first extra-inning win of the season—courtesy of a blown save in the 9th, natch—as they edged Frederick, 5-4 in 10 innings. Andrew Lee struck out a season-best nine in six innings while letting in a run on three hits and four walks. Frankie Bartow blew his first save with two runs on four hits in the 9th. Jhon Romero stranded two while getting the last out in the 9th to send it into extras. In the 10th, back-to-back doubles from Osvaldo Abreu (who homered in the 2nd) and Anderson Franco got the two-run lead back for the P-Nats. Romero let in the free runner on a wild pitch and a sac fly in the 10th but held on to get the win, his first. Abreu, Cole Freeman, and Aldrem Corredor each had two hits in the ten-hit, five-walk offense, which mustered three hits in 20 RISP opportunities, struck out 16 times, and left on 13 baserunners.

The Suns dropped their fourth extra-innings contest, 2-1 in 10 innings to Lakewood in the series opener. Joan Adon went the first six and allowed the first run on five hits and a walk while fanning five. Ryan Tapani went the last four, allowing two hits and the free runner to score in the top of the 10th to take the loss. Hagerstown got its only run on a solo HR by Omar Meregildo in the 7th and left runners in scoring position twice in the final three innings. Jacob Rhinesmith singled twice and Trey Vickers drew two walks to lead the Suns offense. Roster moves: 1B Jamori Blash assigned to XST; C Tyler Cropley, RHP Trey Turner reassigned from XST.
