The Grizzlies blew a 6-2 lead but scored in each of the last three innings to win their third straight, 10-7. Paolo Espino labored through five-plus innings (96 pitches), allowing seven hits and two walks while striking out four but was in position to win with the aforementioned lead. J.J. Hoover extended his streak of outings with a hit allowed to seven as he let in one of Espino’s three runs and four of his own on four hits (one HR) and two walks over an inning and a 1/3rd, but got the blown-save-win when Fresno scored two in the top of the 7th to take an 8-6 lead. Jordan Mills cleaned up after Hoover in the 7th and finished the 8th before turning it over to Tanner Rainey for a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save. The Grizzlies strafed the Aviators pitchers for 14 hits, with Yadiel Hernandez and Collin Cowgill both homering. Roster moves: OF Andrew Stevenson recalled to Washington; RHP Austin Adams traded to Seattle for LHP Nick Wells.

Trenton got all five runs in the 3rd against starter Jackson Tetreault but couldn’t get any off the Harrisburg ‘pen as the Sens offense rallied from a 5-2 deficit to win, 6-5. Tetreault pitched the first three innings and gave up six hits and a walk while striking out two. Erick Fedde starting the six-inning shutdown with a single inning [insert speculation vis a vis DC pitching rotation here] before Jacob Condra-Bogan tossed two for the win, James Bourque threw two for the hold, and Aaron Barrett worked around a hit in the 9th for the save. Luis Sardinas and Ian Sagdal both homered in the 4th to tie it up at 5-5 while Sardinas doubled in the 5th for what proved to be the game-winning run.

Shortly after the last parking fees were collected before first pitch, the game was called on account of rain for the fourth time in 15 home dates thus for the P-Nats. They’ll shoot for two this afternoon to make it up.

Hagerstown jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one and held on for a 5-4 win, the Suns’ third straight. Jake Irvin got taken deep twice for solo shots and four hits total over six innings for hs second quality start and first win of the year. Jackson Stoeckinger bailed out Jared Brasher by stranding two to get the last out of the 7th then tossed two scoreless to earn his first save. Trey Vickers singled twice and smacked a two-run HR in the 7th while Jamori Blash and Jutin Connell both went 2-for-4 to lead the Suns’ 12-hit parade. Roster moves: C Israel Pineda activated from 7-Day I.L., Tyler Cropley reassigned to XST; Gilbert Lara extended his hit streak to 19 games with a single in the 1st.
