Las Vegas continues to pwn Kyle McGowin as they got to him again for seven runs in a two-hit, 11-0 shutout of Fresno. McGowin was knocked from the box with two out in the 4th after giving up seven hits, two walks (one intentional), and a hit batsman. J.J. Hoover did his best to keep the blood flowing as he let in one of two inherited runners while giving up three of his own, including two solo HRs. Jose “Orange” Marmolejos broke up the no-hitter with a double to lead off the 6th while Brandon Snyder broke up the one-hitter with a single to lead off the 7th. Raudy Read, Carter Kieboom, and Yadiel Hernandez each drew walks to round out the tally of the five (5) Fresno baserunners.

The Sens rallied for two in the 9th, capped off by Chuck Taylor’s two-out pinch-hit single for a 3-2 win over the Fightin’s. James Bourque got the win in relief, following two scoreless innings by Ronald Peña and Taylor Guilbeau in relief of Harrisburg starter Ben Braymer, who spun six innings of two-run ball on two hits (one HR) and a walk for his second straight quality start and second straight no-decision. Luis Sardinas, who doubled ahead of Taylor in the 9th, and Tres Barrera, who led off the 9th with single, were the only two Senators to reach base twice as they were held to six hits and three walks total.

Potomac got a pair of homers from its middle infielders to take the opener from Winston-Salem, 6-2. Starter Malvin Peña wobbled through four innings, putting on eight baserunners (five hits, two walks, one HBP) and let in two them. Steven Fuentes tired in his third inning of work, but kept the Dash off the board to get the win. Cole Freeman homered to even the game at 1-1 in the 1st while David Masters drove in two with a homer in the 2nd to give the P-Nats a 3-2 lead as part of a three-run 2nd. Nick Banks had his first multi-hit game of the season, pushing his BA above .100 for the first time this season.

In the nightcap, a perfecto on one side and a no-hitter on the other went poof in the 4th as the Dash got five and the P-Nats got two for the games final score. Luis Reyes gave up all five Winston-Salem runs on three hits (one grand slam) and three walks over four innings. He struck out two and lowered his ERA from 12.36 to 12.00. Grant Borne finished the game with three scoreless innings, issuing a walk and giving up a hit while fanning two. Cole Freeman singled, stole second, and scored a on Telmito Agustin sac fly while Aldrem Corredor homered to account for the two Potomac runs.

The Intimidators were kept back in the pack for five innings before they jumped on reliever Ryan Tapani for five runs in the 6th to turn a 4-1 deficit into a 6-4 win to prevent a three-game sweep by the Suns. Joan Adon went the first five innings and gave up one run on three hits and a walk while striking out six. Tapani took the blown-save-loss with five runs allowed on five hits and three walks while striking out three over two innings. Jacob Rhinesmith singled, tripled, and stole a base while Nic Perkins singled twice to lead the Hagerstown offense.
