Syracuse got back on track towards finishing last and with the worst record in the I.L. with their league-leading 72nd loss, 4-2 in 10 innings against Lehigh Valley. Roster moves: OF Andrew Stevenson, UT Adrian Sanchez recalled to Washington; LHP Josh Edgin, OF Jacob Wilson, IF Jason Martinson activated from 7-Day DL.

Harrisburg vs. Reading – CNCLD
The Senators fading playing hopes took another hit with last night’s cancellation, which gives them one less game to catch the second-place Curve, their opponent tonight and tomorrow night. Harrisburg trails Altoona by six games with 13 to play and will need to sweep and get some serious help. The Curve play just one contender and the next ten games at home.

Lynchburg 7 Potomac 2
• Tetreault (L, 0-1) 5⅓ IP, 6H, 6R, 6ER, 3BB, 2K, HR
• Bogucki 1⅔ IP, 1H, 0R, BB, K, WP, 1-1 IR-S
• Wiseman 2-2, R, 3B, 2BB
• Mejia 2-5

The second time out for Jackson Tetreault wasn’t quite like the first as the Hillcats clawed him for six runs in the P-Nats’ 7-2 loss in the series opener. While Tetreault pitched into the 6th, he walked three and gave up six hits, including two-run HR. He struck out two in his first Carolina League loss. The offense was held to just six hits, with Rhett Wiseman collecting the only extra-base hit (a triple) and just two players – Wiseman and Bryan Mejia – having multiple hits. Roster moves: C Adderling Ruiz placed on the 7-Day DL; RHP Jeremy McKinney activated from the 7-Day DL; 2B Andruw Monasterio assigned from Washington.

Hagerstown vs Columbia – CNCLD
The Suns were rained out yet again with the cancellation of the series finale against Columbia. After an off day tomorrow, they’ll resume play on Thursday (assuming no rain, natch) against the Power.

Mahoning Valley 4 Auburn 1
• N. Gomez (L, 1-1) 5IP, 8H, 3R, 2ER, 0BB, 2K, HBP
• Day 3IP, 0H, 0R, BB, 4K
• Rhinesmith 2-3, RBI
• Pineda 1-4, R

Auburn lost its third straight, 4-1 to narrow its divisional lead to a ½ game over Mahoning Valley. Niomar Gomez started and lost, giving up three runs on eight hits over five innings. Chandler Day tossed three hitless innings of relief, but the offense was limited to five hits. Jacob Rhinesmith broke up the shutout bid with a two-out RBI single in the 7th to drive in Israel Pineda, who singled and took second on an error.

GCL Astros 7 Nationals 0
• Reyes (L, 0-1) 2IP, 4H, 3R, 2ER, 0BB, 1K
• Galindez 2IP, 1H, 0R, BB, K
• Quintana 2-3
• Matos 1-3, 2K, E(4)

The G-Nats were shut out again on five hits, this time by a 7-0 score at the hands of the G-Astros. Luis Reyes “worked on some stuff” while giving up three runs on four hits over two innings for the loss. Jonathan Quintana was the sole hitter to reach base twice (two singles) while Wilfrido Matos, Ronaldy Sosa, and Jesus Morales rounded out the hit column with one safety each.
