Kyle McGowin celebrated his naming as I.L. Pitcher of the Week by getting zero runs of support and his second AAA loss. He has a 0.98 ERA in four starts. Roster moves: UT Adrian Sanchez activated from the 7-Day DL; OF Jacob Wilson placed on the 7-Day DL.

Wil Crowe couldn’t get an out in the 6th, and Dakaota Bacus couldn’t hold a 3-1 lead as the Seawolves got four in the 6th and took the series opener from the Sens, 4-3. Crowe gave up back-to-back singles, then back-to-back walks to begin the 6th before giving way to Bacus. The 27-y.o. journeyman got the first batter to ground out to 1st then gave up a two-run double to tie and a sacrifice fly that proved to be the game-winner. The Harrisburg offense then went down order in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. Roster moves: RHP Jhon Romero promoted to Harrisburg; C Jake Lowery placed on the 7-Day DL, retroactive to Aug. 12.

Juan Pascal’s two-run single in the 9th lifted Hagerstown past Charleston, 4-3 for the Suns’ second three-game win streak of 2018. Tomas Alastre, Jorge Pantoja, and Jhonatan German each threw three innings, with German picking up the win in relief. Jake Scudder singled in the 6th and homered in the 8th while Pascal also walked to lead the Hagerstown offense. C Alex Dunlap, RHP Malvin Pena placed on the 7-Day DL; C Joey Harris reassigned from the GCL.

Auburn – ALL STAR BREAK
Auburn goes into the NYPL All-Star break trailing the Scrappers by two games in the Pinckney division and leading the wildcard race by a ½ game. Tonight, the North Division takes on the South in the NYPL All-Star Game at the Land of Denial State College.
