Folks who showed up midway through the 1st inning missed the game’s only score, a solo HR by Altoona’s Ke’Bryan Hayes, as Harrisburg lost 1-0 in a game shortened to seven innings by the rain. Wirkin “For the Weekend” Estevez only gave up two hits total and issued a walk while losing his fourth game. Despite two chances against his counterpart, he had no strikeouts. Drew Ward doubled and walked twice to lead the Senators offense, which was held toe six hits and four walks total.

No injury this time, but Nick Raquet was still hit hard as Keys strung him for all seven runs in a 7-2 P-Nats loss. The game was shortened to the bare minimum by the rain as Raquet gave up two homers and five hits total while walking two and fanning three over two and 2/3rds innings. Potomac collected five hits (three singles, two doubles) and two walks on offense. Roster moves: RHP Jhon Romero activated; LHP Taylor Guilbeau placed on the 7-Day DL.

Andrew Lee struck out a career-high of 12 batters but got the no-decision as Hagerstown needed an extra inning to take the game (and the series), 2-1. Lee walked one and gave up three hits over six shutout innings. The win went to Frankie “Goes to Hagerstown” who pitched a scoreless 9th and 10th inning for his first Low-A win. Jake Scudder homered in the 7th to take Jorge Pantoja off the hook for the loss. Omar Meregildo, who began the 10th as the free runner, took third on a sacrifice and scored the game-winning run on Lexington’s third error. Roster moves: RHP Jorge Pantoja reassigned from Potomac; RHP Connor Zwetsch placed on the 7-Day DL.

A 4-1 lead was too small for the Doubledays ‘pen as Tanner Driskill coughed up three in the 8th to blow the save and was still sent out to the mound in the 9th where he got the loss, 5-4 to the Black Bears. Reid Schaller gave up a run on four hits and two walks while fannings one in his NYPL debut. Carson Teel followed with three scoreless before giving way to Driskill who let in four runs total on five hits and a walk. Pablo O’Connor led the Auburn hit column with three singles while Carson Shaddy also reached base three times (and drove in two) with two singles and a walk.

Four pitchers combined on a four-hitter as the G-Nats beat the G-Astros, 3-1. Jake Irvin got the look-see start with two scoreless innings with one hit and one walk allowed. Alfonso Hernandez picked up the win with one hit and one walk allowed over two and 2/3rds innings. Joan Adon struck out four and also gave up a hit and a walk to earn the save. Blake Chisholm got the game’s first homer, a two-run shot in the 3rd, which the G-Astros answered with a solo homer off Jose Jimenez in the 4th. Colton Pogue doubled twice and collected the third RBI to lead the six-hit, five-walk offense.
