The Sens blew an early 3-0 lead but got a clutch two-run HR from Taylor Gushue to go up 6-5 and held off the Flying Squirrels for a 7-6 win to tie the five-game series at 2-2. Kyle McGowin turned in his shortest outing of the year as Richmond sent him to the showers after just two and 2/3rds innings and four runs let in. He walked none and struck out five. Austen Williams stranded a runner and then laid three goose eggs to help set up the comeback bid. Kaleb Fleck picked up the win with four outs in the 7th and 8th while Roman Mendez cordero’d through the 9th with three runners put on and one let in but was credited with the save. Carter Kieboom continues his quest to accede to the desperation of the casual Nats fans follow Juan Soto to DC with a single, two walks, and two RBI.

Potomac’s Carolina slide—six losses in eight games in NC and SC so far on this nine-game roadtrip—continued with a 5-0 loss to Myrtle Beach. Like an EPA report, Joan Baez produce a line full of crooked numbers with four runs allowed on four hits and three walks over four and a 1/3rd innings. He struck out four while losing his seventh game. Aldrem Corredor and Edwin Lora combined for all four P-Nats hits (two singles, two doubles) while Branden Boggetto drew all four walks as the team went 0-for-10 with RISP and left on these three batters eight times.

Jackson Tetreault turned in his best outing of the season and the Suns ‘pen held off a late Power surge for a 5-3 win. The 22-y.o. northpaw struck out a career-high of nine over seven innings in which he allowed one unearned run on two hits with nary a base on balls. Those came in spades from Andrew Lee as he walked four of six before Sam Held hit the first batter he faced then got the last out of the 8th before working around a two-out walk in the 9th for the save. Cole Freeman, Jake Scudder, and Armond Upshaw combined for seven of the 10 Suns, including a triple (Freeman) and two runs scored (Freeman, Upshaw).

After waiting 77 minutes to start, Auburn built a 5-3 lead over Williamsport after 7 innings before the rains returned. Thirty minutes later, the game was called and the win streak extended to eight. Malvin Pena won for the third time with a five innings of three-run ball on eight hits. he walked none and whiffed six. Tanner Driskill followed with two scoreless to earn the save. Israel Pineda drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game at 3-3 while Ricardo Mendez singled in the go-ahead run in the Doubledays’ two-run 5th. Two innings later, Pineda scored on the seventh walk issued by Crosscutters pitchers. Pineda and Cody Wilson both had multiple hits to lead the nine-hit parade that was a bit windy (13 K’s).

Five G-Nats pitchers combined on a six-hit, 3-0 shutout of the G-Astros. Niomar Gomez went the first four innings with just one hit allowed, no walks, and four strikeouts. After a LaLoosh-eqsue inning (2BB, 3K) from Colin Morse, Chris “Don’t Call Me Chevy” Vann picked up the win with two scoreless innings pitched with one walk and three whiffs. Pablo O’Connor led the seven-hit, four-walk offense with two singles and scored twice.
