James Bourque walked two in the 8th and gave up leadoff single in the 9th but kept Down East off the board to win his third game. Nelson Galindez got the benefit of the official scorekeeper’s ignorance of Rule 10.17(c) instead of Angel Guillen, who had to settle for his second hold with three innings of one-run relief. Jacob Rhinesmith lead the Doubledays’ 17-hit barrage with four singles, followed by Jose Sanchez, who drove in two with two singles and a triple. Carson Teel threw threeprefect innings before giving way to “OT” Turner, who put on two with a single and a walk then struck out the side in the 4th.
