Austin Voth notched his first quality start of the year with six innings of two-run ball on five hits. He walked three and struck out four in his third win. The Chiefs broke into double digits in the hit column for the third consecutive game with four batters &ndash Jose “Orange” Marmolejos, Jacob Wilson, Bengie Gonzalez, and Hunter Jones collecting multiple hits. The long ball giveth and taketh away as the Sens smacked two to take a 6-1 lead and coughed up four in the final three innings to lose, 10-6. Jefry Rodriguez gave up all five runs on two home runs and nine hits total over six and a 1/3rd innings. He walked one and struck out seven. Derek Self gave up the go-ahead run on a homer and two runs total for the blown-save-loss. Taylor Gushue, Drew Ward, and Adam Walked combined to go 6-for-12 with four runs scored, and a double (Walker), triple (Ward), and a homer (Walker) to pace the Harrisburg attack. Twice Potomac scored a run to take the lead, twice Winston-Salem got the run right back in the next half-inning to tie. In extras, the Dash scored twice while the P-Nats whiffed five times to lose 4-2 in 11 innings. Sterling Sharp endured a 90-minute rain delay but still pitched into the 7th, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and no walks. He struck out seven and hit two batters. The loss went to Jeremy McKinney, who gave up two bunt singles and committed a throwing error in the 11th after retiring the side in order in the 9th and 10th innings. Jake Noll doubled twice and drove in a run while Rhett Wiseman went 2-for-5 with a double to lead the Potomac offense, which went 3-for-16 with RISP and left on 11 baserunners.

The Suns were shut out on two hits, 3-0 in the first game of the doubleheader. Jackson Tetreault reverted to the mean with his sixth loss in nine starts as he gave up all three Grasshopper runs on four hits and four walks over five innings. Sam Held lived up to his surname with two scoreless innings but the Hagerstown batters were silent after Armond Upshaw reached on a one-out error in the 3rd. Yasel Antuna doubled in the 1st and Anderson Franco doubled in the 2nd. Antuna was picked off while Upshaw was caught stealing to account for the one (1) runner left on.

In the nightcap, Hagerstown broke up the Star Trek convention on the Municipal Stadium scoreboard with four in the bottom of the 6th and shut out Greensboro, 4-0. Kyle Johnston tossed four scoreless in the spot start, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out four. The win went to Andrew Lee who struck out the side twice but also gave up two hits and two walks over two innings that required 48 pitches to get through. Phil Morse fanned two in the 7th to bring the total to 12. No curse of the GBI for Luis Garcia, who singled, walked, and scored a run.
