Victor Robles’s steal with two outs in the 9th coupled with the third RailRider error was the difference as Austin Adams managed not to lose the lead in a 4-3 Chiefs win. Robles reached base five times total and scored twice overall to lead the Syracuse offense. The win went to John Simms with two scoreless innings while Adams only walked one in the 9th and kept the equalizer from scoring to earn the save. Tommy Milone got the start and allowed all three Scranton/Wilkes-Barre runs on seven hits, with no walks and six whiffs for the no-decision.

Three Harrisburg pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout of Bowie, 4-0. Veteran Logan Darnell went the first five innings, allowing three hit and striking out three. Austen Williams and Derek Self both turned in two scoreless innings, each striking out one batter. None of the Sens’ pitchers issued a base on balls. Khayyan Norfork smacked a two-run HR and drew two walks while Daniel Johnson and Jacob Wilson both doubled twice to pace the Senators offense.

Despite a gametime start of 38 degrees, 1,511 people allegedly turned out to watch the Blue Rocks shiver past the P-Nats, 5-4. Starter Joan Baez walked six of 16 batters faced before he was lifted for Steven Fuentes, who was only slightly less ineffective (three walks). Baez gave up one run on three hits over two and a 1/3rd innings while striking out four for the no-decision while Fuentes gave up four runs on three hits for the loss. The Potomac offense got 17 runners on but stranded 13, “thanks” to 1-for-11 mark with RISP. Carter Kieboom singled once, walked twice, and homered to lead the way, followed by Austin Davidson, who tripled, walked, singled, and drove in two.

Hagerstown nearly broke a sweat in the 47-degree temperatures in a 5-2 loss to Rome. Jackson Tetrault gave up all five runs on seven hits and two walks over four and 2/3rds innings to take the loss. A.J. Bogucki let in one inherited run but combined with Kyle Johnston to lock down the Braves the rest of the way. The Suns took advantage of a pair of one-out walks in the 9th to break up the shutout bid as Branden Boggetto doubled in one and Aldrem Corredor grounded out to second to plate the other. Anderson Franco was the sole Hagerstown hitter to reach base twice (walks) as Juan Soto and Armond Upshaw notched singles to round out the three-hit effort.
