Citing rain and cold overnight and forecast for yesterday, the Chiefs pulled the plug on this one early so they could sleep in for the comfort of the fans and safety for the players. The game will be made up as a doubleheader on June 25th while the Bark in the Park promotion has been rescheduled to August 27th. Roster moves: RHP Austin Voth recalled to Washington; RHP Austin Adams optioned from Washington.

Back-to-back errors in the 9th by Osvaldo Abreu and Austin Davidson with a little “help” from Bryan Harper turned an 8-3 lead into a 9-8 loss for Harrisburg in the series finale against Altoona. Harper walked two and gave up four hits in the 9th and all six baserunners came around to score as he was charged with the loss. The meltdown robbed Jefry Rodriguez of a win for six innings of one-run ball on two hits and three walks – his fourth straight quality start, for which he has one (1) “W.” Davidson had homered to cap off a six-run 5th that gave the Sens an 8-1 lead and went 2-for-5 with four RBI before his third error in six games at AA. Abreu singled and doubled and drove in one before his seventh miscue of the season.

The P-Nats fell behind again in the middle innings and rallied for three in 8th to tie and dropped a four-spot in the 10th to take their third straight, 8-4, and win the series 3-1 vs. the Hillcats. Tyler Mapes got the start but lasted just four innings as Lynchburg strafed him for eight hits over four innings and its first three runs. James Bourque, who pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th innings, got the win while walking two and striking out five. Telmito Agustin led Potomac’s 12-hit parade with two singles and two doubles, followed by Jakson Reetz who walked twice, singled once and doubled once, and Ian Sagdal who notched a singled, double, and a walk; all three drove in two runs.

Hagerstown jumped on Rome for three in the 1st and then saw the 3-0 lead melt away by the 4th as the Braves eclipsed the Suns, 6-3 and took the series, 2-1. Carlos Acevedo affirmed his “B” status on the GBI with three runs let in on five hits, including a two-run HR, while walking three and striking out five over four innings. The loss went to Sam Held who didn’t as he gave up solo HR in the 6th. Elder batsman Branden Boggetto and Cole Freeman combined to go 5-for-8 with three doubles and two RBI while the rest of the lineup went 2-for-26.
