The Senators coughed up seven in the 2nd and then returned the favor in the late innings as they straightened the Curve, 9-7. Taylor Hill was knocked from the box after three innings, with all seven Altoona runs scoring on eleven hits (amazingly, just one HR) with no walks and two strikeouts. Phillips Valdez and Brady Dragmire both turned in three scoreless innings of relief, with the win goin to Dragmire. Dan Gamache and Corban Joseph both went 3-for-5 and combined for three runs scored and three RBI to lead the Harrisburg hit column.

Potomac scored three runs in both the 1st and 8th innings to prevent a three-game sweep with a 7-3 win in the series finale with Wilmington. Luis Reyes went the first five innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and three walks while fanning five, and got his sixth win. Ronald Pena, Kyle Schepel, and Gilberto Mendez combined for four innings of one-run relief with Pena earning a hold. Taylor Gushue singled, walked, and homered and drove in two to lead the P-Nats attack.

The Suns had another unusual off day that was spent making a long bus ride, this time from Kentucky to South Carolina for a three-game series against the RiverDogs.

The Doubledays rallied from a 6-3 deficit with two in the 8th and one in the 9th, but fell in the 11th, 7-6 to the Black Bears. Yonathan Ramirez was clawed for five runs on nine hits (including two HRs) and two walks over five innings. The loss went to Jake Barnett with the gamewinner let in on two hits in his single inning of work. Jake Scudder went 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBI while Kameron Esthay singled once and doubled twice to lead Auburn’s 11-hit parade.

It rained again yesterday. They’ll try to make it up with a doubleheader on Sunday, the day after completing a suspended game and regularly scheduled game vs. Mets… weather permitting.
