Every Syracuse batter got a hit (wait, what?) as the Chiefs plucked the Mud Hens, 8-1 in the series opener. Well, it helped that Ryan Zimmerman and Jose Lobaton joined the lineup for a rehab assignment, and the two lived up to the hype with both going 2-for-4 with a walk and Zimmerman hitting a homer. Austin Voth evened up his won-loss record at 7-7 with six innings of one-run ball on three hits and two walks while striking out five. Ahead 5-1 at the time, Trevor Gott loaded up the bases in the 8th with two hits and a hit batsman. Koda Glover was called upon to get the final out of the inning, then worked the 9th for the save. Roster moves: 1B Ryan Zimmerman, C Jose Lobaton assigned from Washington for MLB rehab; RHP Andrew Robinson reassigned from Harrisburg.

Harrisburg – OFF DAY
The Senators resume their six-game homestand with three against the Seawolves, with Erick Fedde making his second AA start. Harrisburg trails Altoona 3½ games for first place in the E.L. West but leads Akron by 3 games in the wildcard race.

Wilmington 7 Potomac 3
• Whiting (L, 9-3) 3+ IP, 10H, 7R, 6ER, 0BB, 4K, HR, WP
• Thomas 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Mejia 3-4, 2B, RBI
• Read 2-4, 2R, 2B

Wilmington scored in each of the first four innings as they ran up a 7-0 lead and cruised to a 7-3 win over Potomac in the series opener. P-Nats starter Boone Whiting was lit up for all seven Blue Rocks runs on 10 hits over three-plus innings to lose for the third time at High-A. Bryan Mejia singled twice, doubled once, and drove in one while Raudy Read singled and doubled and scored two runs to lead the Potomac offense.

Hagerstown – OFF DAY
The Suns begin a six-game road trip through Georgia and Kentucky to take on the Rome Braves and the Lexington Legends for three games apiece. Hagerstown is on a three-game win streak that has seen them climb back into a tie for first place with Kannapolis for the 2nd half title in the Sally North. Roster moves: C Matt Reistetter, RHP Luis Reyes reassigned from Potomac; C Adderling Ruiz placed on the 7-Day DL; RHP Ronald Pena reassigned to the GCL for MiLB rehab.

Auburn – ALL STAR BREAK
Tonight is the All-Star game for the New York-Penn League, which will be held in Hudson Valley, where the three Auburn representatives (Tyler Watson, Nick Banks, and Weston Davis) will be joined by their Doubledays teammates tomorrow to play the Renegades. Roster moves: RHP Carlos Acevedo reassigned from Hagerstown; RHP Conner Porter reassigned from the GCL.
