It’s feast or famine down the stretch for the Chiefs as they were starved by the RedWings, 9-0. Richard Bleier was knocked for six of those runs on 12 hits and a walk over four and 2/3rds innings as he lost his second AAA game. The offense mustered just five hits — all singles — no walks and struck out nine times. The loss formally eliminated Syracuse from postseason play.

After blowing a 1-0 lead in the 7th, Harrisburg rallied for three in the 9th for a 4-3 win. John Simms tossed six shutout innings with five hits allowed, no walks, and nine strikeouts for the no-decision. Nick Lee and Paul Demny each put up a goose egg in the 8th and 9th innings for the win and save. Brian Goodwin’s two-run single completed the comeback that began with Brian Jeroloman’s one-out single, back-to-back walks by Adrian Sanchez and Isaac Ballou, and an infield single by Wilmer Difo.
Potomac vs. Frederick — PPD
The P-Nats’ three-day homestand was shortened to two with a rainout on Monday night. They’ll make it up tonight with a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m.
Hagerstown — OFF DAY
After the final scheduled off day of the season, Hagerstown travels to Lakewood for four games before returning to the Muni for their final homestand over the weekend. The Suns finish 2015 on the road with five games in Lexington.

Randy Encarnacion tied the game with a solo HR in the 4th, then gave Auburn the lead for good with a three-run double in the 5th in a 5-2 win over Mahoning Valley. Jefry Rodriguez got the win, his third for the Doubledays, with a quality start (his fourth overall) of two runs let in on six hits and a walk while setting down four on strikes. Adam Boghosian (2IP) and Kevin Mooney (1IP) combined for three scoreless innings of relief to notch the hold and the save, respectively. Encarnacion was one of five batters to notch multiple hits as the Doubledays collected twelve total and walked twice.
