Louisville reversed its fortunes from Monday to shut out Syracuse on Tuesday, 4-0. Taylor Jordan turned in a quality start of three runs on eight hits and three walks but suffered his fourth AAA loss. Rafael Martin let in an unearned run on two hits and a walk out of the ‘pen. The Chiefs were a woeful 0-for-12 with RISP and left 10 men on. Mario Lisson and Caleb Ramsey both went 2-for-4 but the rest of the lineup managed just three hits.

Three Senators pitchers combined on the 2-0 shutout of the Flying Squirrels for Harrisburg’s seventh straight win. Richard Bleier got the win with seven innings pitched, allowing six hits, one walk, and striking out two. Sam Runion and Gilberto Mendez got the hold and save respectively with a scoreless inning in the 8th and 9th. Harrisburg was held to just five hits, but got RBI doubles from Matt Skole in the 1st and Drew Vettleson in the 8th for the go-ahead and insurance run respectively.

Stephen Perez’s two-out RBI double gave the P-Nats a 6-5 win to complete the three-game sweep of Carolina. It also took the edge off blowing a 5-1 lead, which negated Nick Pivetta’s six innings of one-run ball, in which he allowed two hits and walked three while striking out four. Newcomer Grant DeBruin was one of three Potomac batters to have multiple hits, joining Narciso Mesa and Perez as the P-Nats racked up ten total.

The Suns rallied for three in the 6th to turn a 3-1 deficit into the eventual winning score of 4-3 over the Grasshoppers. Drew Van Orden got the win, his fifth, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings. The save went to Sam Johns, who threw three scoreless innings to close out the game, giving up a hit and a walk while fanning two. Cody Dent singled and doubled and drove in two to lead Hagerstown’s offense.

The Doubledays overcame an early 2-0 deficit and chipped away with single runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 6th innings to edge the Cyclones, 3-2. McKenzie Mills started and let in two runs over four innings on four hits and three walks while striking out two. The win went to Luis Torres for his three scoreless innings of relief while Koda Glover struck out five of eight batters faced to earn the save. Matthew Page and David Kerian both went 2-for-4 to pace the Auburn offense while the defense turned four double plays.
