The Chiefs rallied for two to tie in the 6th and pushed across the winning run in the 7th for a 4-3 win over the Knights. Taylor Hill gave up all three Charlotte runs on eight hits and a walk over five and 2/3rds. The win went to P.J. Walter, who stranded three in the 6th and pitched two scoreless innings total. Reigning I.L. Player of the Week Kevin Keyes and Mario Lisson both went 2-for-4 while newcomer Chris Nelson drove in two to pace the Syracuse offense.

The B-Mets struck for two runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 6th innings as they handed the Senators a 6-5 loss. Matt Spann got the no-decision with five runs allowed on nine hits and two walks over five-plus innings pitched. Sammy Solis blew his second save and lost for the third time as he let in one of Spann’s runners and one of his own in the 6th. Christopher Bostick and Matt Skole both drove in two and were among five Harrisburg hitters to collect multiple hits.
Roster move: RHP Erik Davis reassigned from Syracuse.

Potomac — ALL STAR GAME
Spencer Kieboom went 0-for-2 as the starting catcher for the Carolina League while Nick Pivetta was torched for two runs on two hits and two walks in his inning of work, which saddled him with the “L” in the 9-2 loss to the California League All-Stars.

Grant DeBruin went 0-for-2 with a walk as the starting 3B for the North Division, which beat the South Division, 7-5. Austen Williams struck out two in his inning of work to earn the hold. Drew Van Orden did not pitch.

A four-run 6th erased a 4-1 deficit as Auburn got another workaday win — 9 to 5 — over State College. Starter Joan Baez continues to struggle despite being dropped a level as the 20-y.o. was knocked for three runs on four hits and a walk over three innings. The win was awarded to Joey Webb, who gave up a run in the 5th but pitched a scoreless 6th. Seventeenth Rd. pick Dalton Dulin led the Doubleday hit parade with a walk, two singles, and a double, followed by Matthew Page who was 2-for-5 with two RBI.
