Geoff Morrow of the Patriot-News is reporting via Twitter that Demny has been suffering from some arm soreness and won’t be taking part in next week’s All-Star Game. Rivero hasn’t played since Saturday and would appear to have been transferred to get some more playing time as the parent club seems hell-bent on not benching Danny Espinosa.
Kylin Turnbull’s recent success in Auburn seems to spurring the club to give him another chance at testing his stuff against Low-A batters. Likewise, it would appear that the swapping of pitchers between upstate NY and the Space Coast is a matter of getting higher-calibre competition for the guys escaping Florida and more time to work with coaches at the complexes for the guys returning.
