For the second time in three games, the Syracuse Chiefs loaded the bases in extras on walks (one intentional) and lost, falling this time on a two-out single in the 11th for the short end of a 7-6 decision. Danny Rosenbaum got a no-decision for the fourth straight start, giving up five runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out four over seven innings. Reigning I.L. Batter of the Week Zach Walters remains red-hot, doubling and homering while scoring a run and driving in three. Tyler Moore and Eury Perez also went deep, as the trio of longballers combined for six of the eight Chiefs hits.

Paul Demny tossed seven innings of one-hit ball as Harrisburg pummeled Bowie, 9-1. The 23-y.o. Texan walked three and struck out six while earning his fifth win of the season. Brian Goodwin went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and two RBI while Justin Bloxom homered, scored two, and drove in two as the Senators made the most out their offensive opportunities with nine runs on seven hits and three walks. The win combined with an Erie loss puts Harrisburg in sole possession of first place in the E.L. West.

Potomac Nationals — ALL-STAR BREAK
The Carolina League blasted the California League 12-2 in San Jose. Billy Burns went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases, while Adrian Nieto went 0-for-1 coming off the bench. Blake Schwartz tossed a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and striking out a batter. Robbie Ray did not pitch.
Hagerstown Suns — ALL-STAR BREAK
A two-hour-and-51-minute rain delay shortened the game to seven innings, which saw the Sally North squad edge the Sally South, 2-1. Brandon Miller started in RF and went 0-for-2, while Tony Renda came off the bench and singled as a pinch-hitter and finished the game defensively at 1B. Pedro Severino also came off the bench but struck out. Dixon Anderson got the win for pitching the 3rd, giving up two hits in a scoreless inning. Pedro Encarnacion, presumably replacing Ivan Pineyro who was placed on the TIL on Sunday, followed and turned in a goose egg with a hit allowed and strikeout. Robert Benincasa did not pitch.

Batavia broke open a 4-2 game with a five-run 7th to send Auburn to a 10-2 defeat. Starter Casey Selsor gave up two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings while setting down one on strikes. The Doubledays more than doubled their hit total from the opener with seven instead of three, with Wilmer Difo leading the way with a 2-for-3 game and two walks.

The D-Cards ran up a 6-0 lead before the D-Nats cut it in half with a three-run 6th, but as close as they would get in a 6-3 loss. 18-y.o. Yefri Pena took the loss with three runs given up on three hits and two walks in his first start after three relief appearances. Edwin Lora and Neivy Pilier were both 1-for-3 with a walk as the D-Nats were held to just six hits total.
