Every Syracuse player except for McConnell got a hit, as the Chiefs made a team effort to beat Norfolk by a score of 6-3. Milone pitched his best game of the year, going seven and 2/3rds innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out seven. Corey Brown, Michael Aubrey, Chris Marrero and Tug Hulett each collected two hits, accounting for four runs, two doubles, three walks and four RBIs between them.

Bill Rhinehart went deep twice last night — the fourth straight game a Senator has hit two home runs — as Harrisburg crushed Altoona, 9-2. Shairon Martis threw his first quality start and got the win with a line of two runs allowed on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three. Chris Rahl led the hit parade with a single and two triples, Rhinehart’s two HR drove in four, while Derek Norris and Jonathan Tucker both singled and doubled as the Senators pounded out 12 hits total. As predicted in the comments, Matt Antonelli was activated from the DL.

A two-run triple punctuated a three-run seventh as the Dash overcame a 3-2 deficit to defeat the P-Nats by a 5-3 score for the second straight night. Half of the eight hits that Holder allowed came with one out in the seventh, leading to his team-high fourth loss of the season. Potomac was all-or-nothing on offense, with all three runs coming via the longball (HRs by Destin Hood and J.P. Ramirez) and only five hits overall, with just one P-Nat (Eury Perez) reaching base twice (double, walk).

Hagerstown broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the third and scored in the next two innings, as the pitchers grounded the Shorebirds the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 victory that put the Suns in sole possession of first place in the Sally League North. Starting pitcher Bobby Hansen got the win, going six complete innings allowing only three runs, two earned, on seven hits and three walks while striking out four. Kelso and Sanchez combined to go 4-for-9 with two doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Bryce Harper extended hist hit streak to 14 games with an RBI single that he failed to stretch into a double. Still no official word as to which player(s) have been removed with the additions of A.J. Cole and Robbie Ray.
