A two-run HR in the 8th proved to be the difference as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre downed Rochester, 5-3 and took over 1st place in the I.L. by percentage points. DJ Herz pitched into the 5th and gave up a run on two hits and two walks while striking out five. Matt Krook gave up his first HR of the season in 39 appearances and was rewarded with his second loss. The Red Wings were held to five hits – two by Cayden Wallace, who had the sole extra-base hit for Rochester with his 11th HR.

A two-run HR was the down fall for the Senators, coming in the bottom of the 10th to the first batter for a 2-1 loss. Yoel Tejada Jr. repeated last Friday’s outing with four shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk. Alex Clemmey followed and turned in four and 2/3rds scoreless with one hit, one walk, and eight whiffs. Thomas Schultz gave up a single to the first batter he faced in the 9th and the 10th, but the latter was the game-losing homer. Elijah Green’s two-out RBI single in the 10th was the fifth and final hit for Harrisburg. The Sens struck out 14 times, walked four times, and left nine on base.
