Luis Perales followed with four and 2/3rds innings of one-run ball with five hits, two walks, and seven whiffs to pick up his fourth win. Led by rehabbing Jake Irvin, three Harrisburg pitchers combined to shut out New Hampshire, 2-0 on three hits. Irvin allowed one hit, walked none, and struck out five over four and 2/3rds. Chance Huff threw three pitches, got the last out of the 5th, and picked up the win. Josh Randall closed it out with four goose eggs to earn the save in his first career relief appearance. Chad Lomavita singled twice and doubled once while Devin Fitz-Gerald had two safeties to lead the Senators seven-hit, two-walk offense that scored twice without a base hit. Fredericksburg couldn’t outhit its subpar pitching yet again as Hill City completed the three-game sweep with 10-6 decision. Marlon De La Cruz took the brunt of the beating with six runs (three earned) on two hits, three balks, and five walks over two and 2/3rds innings for his third Low-A loss in seven starts. Coy James and Luke Dickerson both singled, homered, and stole a base while Juan Cruz drove in three with two doubles and a single to power the FredNats attack. Roster moves: LHP Pablo Aldonis, RHP Johan Otanez released.
FCL Nationals, 26-25, 2nd FCL East, 13½ GB
The F-Nats broke even last week and need to only win one of two games this week to secure a winning season for the third time since the GCL became the FCL. They make their final trip to Jupiter tomorrow and finish the season on Thursday with a game in West Palm Beach as the road team.
DSL Nationals, 7-26, 7th DSL Sourh, 15½ GB
The DSL Nationals won one of four last week and caught the DSL Padres Brown in the chase for the worst record in the DSL. Meanwhile Juan Duran and Samil Serrano were among the parade of prospects crammed into the DSL All Star game. Duran flew out in his sole PA while Serrano grounded out in his first at-bat, then singled, stole a base, and scored in his second AB. This week, the D-Nats are home today, Thursday, and Friday and on the road tomorrow and Saturday.
Don’t need to be Coy James
HR tenth ?
If Nats released two arms on farm then two draftees signings ably to be announced ?
Todd?
Someday should play the mamas and papas song for me Monday Monday
Another white hair pushed out in my beard reading that the Pitt Pirates have Tony Blanco Junior at Greensboro
Blanco a great name for Pirates white , gold and black colors .
One wonders if Tony Senior is involved in amateur baseball influencing
sorry to see Aldonis go. another case showing that injured shoulders are worse than elbows.
FredMD
Think about Dave Draveckys life
Foster Griffins ascension reminds me of back when the Expos plucked Zane Smith off the turnip truck of ATL then Buck Rodger’s and Larry Bearnearth revitalized him setting up the 3 for one deal with pirates lead by Moises Alou and Willie Greene ( HS teammate of Rondell White )
Three fur one with Foster??
I don’t understand the Aldonis release at all. He’s been great since returning from injury. He has a 2.60 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 3.07 FIP, 9.97 K/9, 2.70 BB/9 between 2025-2026. That’s up there with some of our most effective relievers in the entire system!
It’s exponentially more confounding when Ike Buxton and LJ Waco still retain roster spots.
This makes no sense.
by combining the ’25 and ’26 stats you are forgiving that he has regressed in every area. the times I’ve watched him his fastball has no life and his slider no bite. when he first came up neither of those were the case.
Elijah Green has only struck out 4 times in his last 5 games (20 PA, 3BB, 7 for 17)
If he’s figured out the strike zone, he might just turn himself back into a prospect..
Marlon DLC needs to practice that coming set motion mindset .
The Rochester stadium staff should play the Simpson theme song when Jared gets the call from the pen
No transactions today , Todd
Guess the 165 number is met
Kevin I’m just on a Monday music kick
Elijah no Ksfor five days ?
Even Keith Richard’s probably stopped using heroin for five days …
Oh sure, let’s see what those numbers look like in a month.
Scary moment in Sens game yesterday. NH pitcher took a 104 MPH line drive off the side of his head. He didn’t go down and left the field without assistance.
The Harrisburg staff should have played for that Nh player on his next AB
Princes song Jughead
Jake Irvin looked really good yesterday. Topped out at 94 and only gave up one hit.
