Harrisburg Senator outfielder Quincy Latimore has been named the Eastern League’s Player of the Week for July 28 to August 3rd.

The 25-y.o. smacked four home runs during the week, including a grand slam last Wednesday and a walkoff solo shot on Thursday; both big flies came in extra innings. Overall, Latimore went 9-for-23 with 11 runs driven in and an OPS 1.438 for the week.

The North Carolina native was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in he 4th Round of the 2007 First Year Player Draft. He was traded to the Cleveland Indians in January 2013 and signed with the Washington Nationals this past offseason. In 85 games for the Senators, he’s put up a line of .294/.362/.452 with 9 HR, 37 RBI, and seven stolen bases.

According to MiLB.com, this is his second Player of the Week Award in his career, the previous coming in May 2009 while he was with the West Virginia Power.
