Can one game win you batter of the week honors? It just might, if you slug four HRs in four at-bats like Michael Aubrey did this past Saturday.

Aubrey was named the International League’s Batter of the Week for the week of May 9-15. In six games, the 29-year-old went 8-for-18 with a double, four HRs, four walks, and nine RBI. He is the second Syracuse player to win the weekly honors, with recently promoted Cole Kimball winning it for the opening week of April 7-10.

The news that even I didn’t believe at first should make the impatient hungry Nats fans happy: A.J. Cole and Robbie Ray are coming to Hagerstown, with Cole starting tonight and Ray starting on Monday, according to MASN’s Byron Kerr.

MiLB.com has not listed these transactions, nor the ones necessary to make room for them on the roster. Taylor Jordan will reportedly go to the 7-day DL for one of the pitchers, but there is no indication what the other move will be.

Adam Kilgore is reporting that Roger Bernadina will be back in D.C. to replace an ailing Rick Ankiel, but the move has not been made official yet, and thus, the corresponding moves to backfill him in Syracuse are not known.

UPDATE: Michael Aubrey has been activated from the DL, taking the place of Bernadina.

Today is a travel day but it’s a tight schedule to go back and forth from Harrisburg in time for Mother’s Day festivities tomorrow, so further updates might not be made until late this evening.

Earlier today in the comments, it was mentioned that Justin Bloxom is Woodbridge-bound. This morning, Stephen King was promoted to Harrisburg and a very reliable source is telling me that Kyle Morrison has been released to make room. This appears to be a chain reaction to the placement of Michael Aubrey on the 7-Day DL late last week, as Adam Fox has been assigned from Harrisburg to Syracuse.

So to recap:

SYRACUSE
Michael Aubrey to DL

HARRISBURG
Adam Fox promoted to Syracuse

POTOMAC
Stephen King promoted to Harrisburg
Kyle Morrison released

EXTENDED SPRING TRAINING
Justin Bloxom assigend to Potomac

KNEE BONE
Connected to the thigh bone.
Just making sure you’re paying attention

Not reported last week because it was implicit, but when Roger Bernadina was returned to Syracuse when filling in for Ian Desmond, Erik Arnesen was likewise sent back to Harrisburg. As always, if/when I get official word on the moves, this space will be updated.

UPDATE: MiLB.com is now officially reporting the addition of Bloxom and release of Kyle Morrison
