  1. I think it’s safe to say that after 2 starts and 12 innings, Purke’s ERA of 10+ shows he’s not ready for AA.

  2. Any truth to the rumor Barrett overslept and then was sent down for Treinen?

    • That may or not be true, but he did have a minor finger injury and the bullpen desperately needed a multi-innings guy.

      ‘Our guys’ will be on display the next month with Souza, Walters and Treinen all getting a chance for a long look. Not to mention Tyler Moore.

      • I was just wondering what came first the Finger injury or Barrett oversleeping. It seemed odd to me that they would choose him, but I understand the need for innings. Still curious minds want to know if it was a Finger injury and he happened to oversleep,… Or if he overslept and then allegedly had a finger issue.

    • Not that I can find.
