About Luke Erickson

Luke Erickson is a season-ticket holder for the Potomac Nationals, but makes a point of seeing games in Hagerstown and Harrisburg at least once a summer. Bad Ross Detwiler 1-4, 9.38 ERA, 2.17 WHIP in May

What is wrong with him? Is he injured and not telling anyone? Even though he has finally proven to the Nats he doesn’t have the stuff to be an effective starter in the Majors, he is still a shutdown 3 inning guy and he is getting shelled this month.

A shame Rizzo didn’t see him for what he was and turn him loose as a reliever. Detwiler along with injuries to Ryan Zimmerman and Adam LaRoche are the Top 3 disappointments of 2011.

Glad to read some of the “Goods” as guys like Chris Marrero, Destin Hood and hopefully a few more step up to what we all thought their potential was.

  3. Gonats says:

A real shame that Detwiler wasn’t brought up in April to replace Slaten. Now you have a pitcher who has to find himself again before he can be promoted.

  4. Mark L says:

A little nitpick on Marrero, mre interesting than good. A below average OPS with No power. Over 170+ AB’s with 4 HR’s, no Triples and 8 Doubles. And some people want him promoted. Go figure.

Sue, you’re going to need a ‘great’ category for some of these guys. Manno, Hood + Peacock.

  5. wally says:

Sue I think Mark L is correct Hood Peacock and Manno are in a class of their own Iwas just looking at their stats . all I could say is ARE YOU KIDDING ME WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
